Dear Pham Quang Thuy,
Greetings from Manila!
Thank you very much for the letter and we are delighted to learn that you are preparing to attend the regional jamboree and that there will be a good possibility of number a of your scouts and leaders attending the forthcoming APR Jamboree in the Philippines. You will also recall that there is a reunion, at the same time, of those who attended the 10th world scout jamboree which was held in the same place. I am happy to note that there were 50 participants from Vietnam who attended that world jamboree in the Philippines in 1959 and therefore I sincerely hope that some of them will be able to join the reunion this year. For the details of this reunion please refer to the regional circular which is available in the APR web site.
Lastly, I sincerely hope and pray that we will be able to have the same type of " joint contingent from Vietnam ", as we had in Thailand since that is the only way, as per the decisions of the regional scout committee, that we will be able to accept a contingent from Vietnam at the Jamboree. I am confident Mr. Pham Thanh Hiep is making the similar arrangements, since they are already prepared to attend the jamboree and have indicated to us that they will be attending the jamboree and your letter give us a very clear hope for which we are all looking forward. For this reason I am copying this note to Pham Thanh Hiep as well.
Please note that jamboree forms are now available in the jamboree web site and we hope to receive the details soon. We will appreciate receiving the planned figure from you as well as from Pham Thanh Hiep, latest by mid July in time for the next jamboree meeting.
Regards and looking forward for further details.
Rasheed
